Welcome to Barn Quilts of Rock County, Wisconsin! The Rock County Barn Quilt Project began in 2010, when a group of Rock County citizens were attracted to the American Barn Quilt Movement. With the assistance of groups from neighboring Green and Walworth Counties, Barn Quilts of Rock County was formed.
The barn quilts are painted on wooden squares of varied sizes; 2', 4', or 8'. All quilts are painted by volunteers. Currently, painting is done in Evansville, Milton, and Shopiere. Over seventy quilts were painted in the first year of the project! Two years later, nearly 200 quilts connect the corners of Rock County. Quilts are proudly displayed on 162 sites, rural and urban, spanning twenty townships and interspursed in in the Clinton, Evansville, and Milton communities.
